About Us
Talisman Equine Veterinary Services, LLC, was founded in 2001 in Phoenix, Arizona. This "one-of-a-kind" practice took off like wildfire, as the need for a holistically-minded veterinarian who offered traditional care, along with alternative and complimentary forms of veterinary medicine was in high demand. Dr. Thurman, along with her husband, Curtis Jessee, EqD., relocated to Eastland, Texas, in the spring of 2005.
Along with Dr. Thurman, our staff includes Curtis Jessee, who is a certifed equine dental technician, as well as our own certified equine massage therapist, Debbie Curtis. Our mission is to provide our clients and their animals with the utmost in concern and care. Keeping the goal of finding and treating the cause of disease, and not just the symptoms foremost.

Introducing, Talisman Equine Educational Exchange, the only equine, dog and cat massage therapy school in Texas. With the rapidly changing face of veterinary medicine, alongside the human medical field, Talisman Equine is committed to providing accurate, up-to-date, effective treatment options and education to our students. We whole- heartedly adhere in the "WHOLE-istic" approach to health care. The classroom is located adjacent to the Veterinary clinic, and our students are often afforded the opportunity to view cases worked up "live" by veterinarians or other clinicians. RV hookups and stalls for student horses are available, as well. These spaces are limited so call to reserve yours!
